Richard McGinnis was raised in Tontitown, Arkansas. He participated in Future Farmers of America while at Springdale High School and was awarded the American Farmer Degree in Agri Business. Richard’s career in meat cutting began in his hometown at Tontitown Mercantile. Richard then went on to work fifteen years for Dillons, a division of Kroger, followed by three years at Food 4 Less before joining Country Time Meat Shoppe. Richard and his wife, Karen, live in Springdale, and have two sons, Chris and James.

Richard’s Country Meat Market, Inc., was built in the mid-1980’s and originally called Country Time Meat Shoppe. Richard McGinnis became part owner in 1993. In 1997, Country Time became a family-owned business and took a new name: Richard’s Country Meat Market.
Richard’s has continued to grow over the years thanks to loyal customers and an increasing demand for the personal service for which Richard is known. Richard offers his customers the highest quality product and a personal wealth of knowledge developed during more than thirty years in the busines.
