Richard McGinnis was raised in Tontitown, Arkansas. He participated in Future Farmers of America while at Springdale High School and was awarded the American Farmer Degree in Agri Business. Richard’s career in meat cutting began in his hometown at Tontitown Mercantile. Richard then went on to work fifteen years for Dillons, a division of Kroger, followed by three years at Food 4 Less before joining Country Time Meat Shoppe. Richard and his wife, Karen, live in Springdale, and have two sons, Chris and James.

Richard’s Country Meat Market, Inc., was built in the mid-1980’s and originally called Country Time Meat Shoppe. Richard McGinnis became part owner in 1993. In 1997, Country Time became a family-owned business and took a new name: Richard’s Country Meat Market.
Richard’s has continued to grow over the years thanks to loyal customers and an increasing demand for the personal service for which Richard is known. Richard offers his customers the highest quality product and a personal wealth of knowledge developed during more than thirty years in the busines. The family of dedicated employees at Richard’s offers customers cooking tips and recipes for practically any dish or cut of meat.
Chris McGinnis grew up in Springdale, Arkansas, and attended Springdale High School. Chris worked for his father at Richard’s during high school and college. After graduating from the University of Arkansas with degrees in Marketing Management and Human Resource Management, he moved to Dallas, Texas, to work. After two years, Chris realized that the most rewarding career for him would be working with his father at Richard’s Meat Market.
